Nouriel Roubini (b. 1958) is today a major figure in the global debate about the state of the economy. He constantly figures on Foreign Policy magazine’s list of the “top 100 global thinkers.” He received his doctorate in international economics at Harvard University and has worked at Yale University, IMF, the US Federal Reserve, World Bank. Roubini is currently a professor at New York University.

Nouriel Roubini is, without doubt, one of today’s most acknowledged economists.

Ever since 2008 when he anticipated with pinpoint accuracy the collapse of the US housing market and the ensuing worldwide recession, professor Roubini has been shuttling between meetings with central bank governors and finance ministers.
